FC Braşov is a professional football club based in the city of Braşov, Romania. Their jersey colours are yellow and black. The team was formed in 1937 and made their initial appearance in the top division in 1957; one of their first successes was winning the Balkans Cup in 1960. Although they have never won the championship, they have participated in the UEFA Cup, most recently in 2001 when they defeated FC MIKA of Armenia before falling to Inter Milan of Italy.On 23 April 2008, the team achieved promotion to Liga I for the 2008-09 season. Thus, FC Braşov return to the top level of Romanian football after three years of absence.
