Lately, Europe’s one of the most dangerous forwards, Shabani Nonda has both Congolese and French nationalities. Playing for the Congo team 11 times, Nonda has always been on the headlines with the transfers he did.

Making his debut at Vaal Professionals, for three seasons between 1995-1998, he played for FC Zürich. In Switzerland he scored 36 goals in 75 matches. For two seasons between 1998-2000, he played for Rennes in France, in 62 matches he scored 31 goals and impressed everyone. In 2000 he transferred to Monaco and lived his golden age during 5 years he spent here. In 116 matches, he had a magnificent performance scoring 57 goals. In 2004 Champions League finals, played against FC Porto. Comming through the severe injury he had and returning the fields in 2002-2003 season marked a significant turning point in Nonda’s career.

In 2005, he transferred to AS Rome and appeared in 16 matches and scored 4 goals in Serie A. In 2006-2007 season he played 26 matches for one of Premier League teams Blackburn Rovers as a loan and scored 7 goals.
After joining Galatasaray at the beginning of the previous season, he gained considerable number of fans with his unsavable penalties and opportunism in Turkey too.
