rkun was trained in the Galatasaray Academy and beginning from his 19 birthday he played for Beykozspor, Bakırköyspor and Üsküdar Anadolu as a loan, respectively.

With his three years experience, Orkun started playing in the Super League. In the 2002-2003 season, the young goalkeeper played in the 1.League for the first time in Elazığspor and the next year he proved that he would be a stable member of this league by transferring to Ankaragücü.

After three years there, in the 2006-2007 season he signed with Kayseri Erciyesspor. With his high performance and his great effort, he was recognized by all the authorities, although Erciyesspor had failed in the league.

In the 2007-2008 season, Orkun returned home and signed with Galatasaray. Having been called to the national teams for 57 times, Orkun Usak has lived his first A National Team experience in 2006 against Belgium that ended 3-3. In the last two years, he has been included in the national team by Fatih Terim eight more times.
